Yep Tom, the guys that kidnapped that poor woman probably have no motivation other than simple blood lust but I think Publius' message to them was simply that their tactic doesn't work. It brings them nothing in the end. Name one time in history when terrorism has ever brought about the results that the perpetrators desired. It's a failed concept when one looks at the final sum of things.
