I'm not sure they aren't. If pedophilia exploded airplanes you would probably see a lot of catholic priests being searched instead of just being looked at sidewise.

Is every parent that has questioned their children about their alter boy experiences a profiler? (Father soandso never did anything like that did he?) It would seem so.

This is an observation and not intended to justify profiling or to condemn it. My personal opinion on profiling would surely be to the right of yours but it would not be without limits.
