I dont get to the basement often

But I talk to those that do, and the nuller is a big project here. I am used to complicated optical setups, but the interferometer dazzles me...

I would love to learn more on the interferometer, but 1) its not my project, and 2) I have zero spare time

As one person here said "I thought adaptive optics was complicated until I saw the interferometer"

It has amazing potential.... other observatories are working on better interferometers- we will find the first earth sized planet and directly observe it in the next decade.
