Provincial Capital Near Falluja Is Rapidly Slipping Into Chaos By EDWARD WONG
Published: October 28, 2004

AMADI, Iraq, Oct. 21 - "The American military and the interim Iraqi government are quickly losing control of this provincial capital, which is larger and strategically more important than its sister city of Falluja, say local officials, clerics, tribal sheiks and officers with the United States Marines."

So while they go all-out on Falluja, another situation develops.

This doesn't seem like "liberation", unless you call shoving a puppet government down their throats "liberation". Seems more like a quagmire.

  - Damned straight - folks ignore the 5% of the country which is safe for Americans. - Bowser - 10/28/2004 3:17:42 PM
    - It's a hell of a lot more than 5 percent. Do some homework. (n/t) - Tom Brosz - 10/28/2004 4:17:38 PM

Most of Kurdish territory. Some of the South. Do some research. (n/t) - Tom Brosz - 10/28/2004 9:44:11 PM

Your 5 percent figure was a truckload of elephant crap. That's the only thing I was addressing. (n/t) - Tom Brosz - 10/29/2004 7:21:38 PM
