The attacks are Saddam loyalists, disgruntled Baathists, to prevent turnover of "sovereignity", to prevent elections, etc. and so on.

(Never to get the foreign invaders the hell out of there. Never to return Iraqi resources back to Iraqis.)

Nope. The attacks are to thwart "freedom".

And the more attacks, the more desperate they are, the worse shape they are in.

Orwell, I suspect thought he was being funny. He should read conservatives today.
