Equatorial wedge
Meade wedges and goto's aren't compatible. Setting circles are required to find objects.
The wedge is very demanding on setup. Tripod must be level and the wedge set to your latitude and pointing north to your magnetic declination as close as possible. In this azimuth alignment your scope will track much better even without going through the pain staking polar drift alignment. Good enough for the moon and planet photos.
What I do to see how close I am aligned is put the North star in my view finder and rotate in RA only. The North star should never leave the view and only circle the crosshairs.
