I have adaware (free) and spybot (free) installed. The spybot is currently useless due to a program problem that they have not solved.

There are several removal programs costing about 30 bucks that are highly recommended by various geek sites. One of those is Aluria Spyware Eliminator. Aluria and several others offer free scans and those scans are showing that I have a large number of problems in spite of running adaware. Some of those programs are well known such as Bonzi Buddy and Kaaza.

My question is this, has anyone used a premium removal program and is it worth the money? I would gladly pay for better service but I don't really trust the free scans when they show such obvious infections. I fear that the endorsements may be paid commercials.
