And that leaves, according to my calculator, which is old, so this is the old math, not the new math, but that leaves (and I've asked my neighbor, too, if this is accurate and she agrees), so there are about 38 States which have or could go for Bush.
Leaving out the District of Columbia.
Now, again after checking with my neighbor, 38 is not 40. That's why they call one "thirty-eight" and the other "forty".
'Nuff sed? My guess is there shouldn't be muc more from the nation's day room, huh? 'Cause there was no "give" in the number "40", as I recall.
