We just passed a "branch point" in history. I'm convinced that a Kerry victory would have started a chain of events that eventually killed over a million Americans. Those Americans will now go one with their lives, have families and live to play with their grandchildren. Those people willl never know that alternative future where they died suddenly due to some terrorist's evil. This is the new reality after 9/11: We can not simply react to events (modern weapons are too powerful and our enemies too evil). We have to anticipate future events and preempt them.
