... he will wait a couple of months and launch a significant attack in the US, if possible implicating Iran or maybe even Pakistan. This would enrage Bush and further terrify citizens, possibly prompting a further disastrous and expensive military excursion, requiring a draft, weakening the efforts in Iraq, and creating even more international divisions.

And the US deficit will balloon again, and arms and oil companies will prosper, and Bush will say "see, if we hadnt take out Saddam imagine how much worse it would have been!"

And if you think the Dept of Homeland Security is going to stop it, you're wrong. It doesn't have to be an atomic explosion, an Ebola release, or even a dirty bomb or anthrax. All it would take is a few bombs in schools or shopping centers or sports arenas or landmarks, things that could be accomplished under the radar.
