Peter Schickele
Last year at this time I had the delight of seeing him in person, with Beth and her boyfriend, at the taping of the live public radio show, "From The Top", which showcases young classical musicians aged 18 and under. They also feature comedy spots and interviews.
He was their guest that night, because he lives in Woodstock now. The taping was in the Troy Music Hall, a little Gilded Age acoustical marvel. And it was my birthday present.
You can listen to the whole show, or just selected parts, here. Scroll down to "JUN 21 -JUL 05", its broadcast date. You'll need RealPlayer 8.0.
