The writer is saying that what was considered progressive in the 1920s - eugenics - is now regarded as reactionary, racist or just plain wrong. So the point is, what we argue for so passionately now, may really be misguided. Fair enough, and a good lesson too. But you're a player in the big ideology/culture wars - so what's your angle here then? You're not a creationist, I'll bet.

I am sympathetic to some of the concerns of religious Christians in the US and elsewhere, buit it seems like this thread is just about you scoring more points about the fanatical, intolerant liberals.
