I was responding to your bogus assertion of American imperialism. I did not intend to criticize France for getting off its butt for once and trying to do something good. Unfortunately they are getting the same reward Americans so often get for such good deeds. These kinds of incidents are a big part of the reason many countries don't want to be involved in military engagements not directly related to their own near term security yet the left will portray any reluctance to risk their soldiers lives as hard evidence of rejection of America's right to risk its own soldiers.
