It depends. If the clerics are reasonable religious men, then they should encourags all to attend. That way there is a somewhat safe forum for the others to interact with the radicals.

Problem arises as we all know when the clerics ARE the extremists. Then the mosque becomes a recruitment factory and ideological base for Islamofascists as opposed to a place of community for Muslims interested in Islam.
