Crawlers to get NEW SHOES

Almost 40 years is good to get out of the treads of the MASSIVE CRAWLERS used to trnasport the shuttles from the VAB to the pad, right? Seriously, the downtime from the shuttle disaster has led the crawler team to improve the 8 treads of the crawlers, for cracks were appearing in the treads. So, take note, at a whopping speed of .9 mph, it would be a disaster if one of the treads failed with a shuttle onboard. A mining company in Argentina is doing the design work and of course, they will be upgraded. NOTE... I stood next to one of the crawlersin March of 1981, before STS-1 launched, man, those things are HUGGGGGEEEE!!!!!!
