I'm also encouraged by some of the progress. I have heard that a lot of the intelligence gathered from some of these sites is turning out to be quite useful.

I would avoid using the "broken eggs" metaphor. It has a bad pedigree, and implies unconcern about civilian casualties, even if that isn't the case.
