but when I clicked the "Post" button, I got an error message and my post was lost. Since then, I've been setting up a new computer all day.

A few more entries to your list:

11) The good people who created and financed the X Prize, creating excitement about space like I have not seen in a long time,

12) Paul Allen, a man with vision and the resources to show the potential for a new space industry,

13) Burt Rutan/Scaled Composites for making the vision a reality,

14) Richard Branson for catching the excitement and funding the development of the world's first civilian spaceliners,

15) Let's not forget the people at SpaceX for their work creating the Falcon I and V boosters. These boosters, if successful, will cost far less to launch payloads to orbit than traditional boosters.

16) The NASA JPL people who sent the rovers to Mars and Cassini to Saturn, not forgetting the ESA's Mars mission success, too.
