Staff on Britain's unreliable and frustrating transport services are used to being abused by frustrated travellers, and will generally accept comments about their looks, intelligence, or sexual habits.
But another insult from the mouths of commuters - spitting - is being tolerated no more.
So many commuters are letting their fury fly so foully that transport employees are being issued with DNA kits so that the insults can be swabbed, tested, identified and answered with criminal charges.
