Lowndes County Vikings win GA's top class state football title in first close battle of undefeated season. Not what my eldest is used to from her Baker highschool experience in Mobile. As an Auburn fan she's been used to winning, but doesn't remember the last undefeated season. Just like the last time we went undefeated though AU is likely to be left out of the national title. Only this time it's the system screwing AU rather than AU screwing itself. This is more like 1983 shaft of the winningest team with the toughest schedule by far. Hoping for a computer surprise given that the NCAA now rates AU's schedule at 9 up from the 50's prior to the GA game while OU and USC are in the 20s. 3 patsies + 33% of games against 9 win teams and the rest of the SEC = tough schedule after all.
