An interesting place to tour
Most tourists only do Brisbane, Cairns and the Barrier Reef. However there's lots of pretty country inside Queensland (my wife and I have toured most of it). If you ever decide to tour Queensland, be careful about the weather (there's a super hot season and a super wet season). The mean distance between interesting places is about 500 km., so be prepared to do a lot of driving. Also kangaroos are a minor nusiance. They're sweet animals but the stupid things will jump out in front of you and wreck your car if it isn't properly equipped. Our car was not properly equipped (we had no money) so we made a point of always driving in mid-day (that's when most kangaroos are napping).
