Well then show me where I did. Thought not....

My argument has been consistent from the very start- that arguments about how other people got it wrong don't make up for the fact that you got it wrong, and that you had the moral obligation to get it right. You didn't, and now you refuse to fess up and hide behind the skirts of logical fallacy.

"I'm arguing against the premise that it was common knowledge that Saddam was harmless, and that only the Bush administration was stupid enough to think he had WMD."

Thats your strawman, and your problem. Not my argument. Go play with someone who gives a crap.

" Maybe you were brilliant enough or clairvoyant enough to know the whole time that Saddam had no WMD,"

I won't tell you I ever denied before the war he had WMD, because I never did.

What I didn't do is appeal to sloppy, irrational emotional thinking that made Saddam out to be a threat, nor make puerile or revisionist arguments after the war started to try to hide from my responsibility to hold myself and others accountable.

"And admit it. If we had found fifty nuclear warheads, your opinion of the war and Bush probably wouldn't have changed a bit.
"

Again, part of your screwed up and spurious 'Innoculation' of your belief system is to paint everyone else as a crazed lunatic or anti-patriot. I supported Bush's immediate reactions to 9-11, ending with the betrayal of the effort to rebuild Afghanistan and the idiocy with the Axis of (Dr.) Evil and Iraq, and the contradiction-in-terms of the Patriot act. I had no love for Bush before 9/11, and didn't think he had what it took, but I thought up through Afghanistan he was doing the right thing.

But have it your way: You war hawks are the cornerstone of reason and rationality and anyone who stands against you is a hair-brained psycho sucking on the teat of ANSWER. Whatever. 'scuse me while I laugh at you.

Don't you see you'll get nowhere in developing your politics or philosophy if all you can reason about are strawmen, red herrings and appeals to ridicule? For you, its about never being wrong and never 'giving' an inch to the 'Bad guys'

Grow up.
