Keep in mind those friends will live on in you, as long as you have a memory.

With three young kids in the house, we had dogs, cats, birds, fish---and for a short time a hairy nasty looking spider. When my Lab was killed, we all lost a long time friend and companion. We had cats live with us for over 18 years.

Blackie the Lab may be physically gone from us, but that pooch is still with all of us in the family he allowed to visit with him.

All of our animals had distinct and unique personalities and so they can never be replaced. But they can be remembered and we can be thankful for the time we were allowed to spend with them.

Don't dwell on your loss. Rejoice in the time you were allowed to spend with them.
