Dogs
The recent Nero Wolfe TV show brought the books back into print, and I took advantage of that to round out my collection and read the ones I hadn't read in a long time. In two stories (which I forget the names of right now and don't have time to look it up), it becomes abundantly clear that the abrasive Wolfe, who can't abide almost anyone except his close acquaintances, is most definitely a dog lover. Somehow, that's really cool.
