All the dissing of Auburn based on USC OU being a "better" game. It's a laugher right now. D wins championships on the field. Offense wins it in polls. AU, USC, and VT had great D's. OU didn't and it shows. Check out the USC box score vs Va Tech. VT lead USC at the half and that was before everyone thought VT improved. Auburn was well on the way to whipping VT with a 16-0 lead before Carnell got greedy, VT made a great int, and then AU coaches decided to play stall for the win rather than score for a chance at the title. Auburn threw away a slim chance at national title IMO, but these results show the championship should be determined on the field not by people theorizing who the best team is. How much brain power do these folks have and how good are the computer programs if they can't figure out that how good a team is is determined by the best teams it beats not the worst? Overall schedule strength should be taken into account after top competition not over it. Choose the otherway and you get an OU rated number one.
