It will be interesting

Within what wavelength range will the Mauna Kea astronomy team be doing their observations? The three CN radiation peaks are between 3400 - 4400 Angstroms (violet light). The maximum allowable heatflux for the AQ60 TPS material is 140 watts/cm^2. The actual peak heatflux would be significantly less. The wetted surface area of Huygens' foreward heatshield is 6.7 meters^2. Therefore the peak allowable power is about 9.4 megawatts. Only a fraction of that power will be light emitted in the 3400-4400 Angstrom range. Are the observatories on Mauna Kea capable of observing a one megawatt violet light on Titan?
