Is not necessarily a moon firster. A Moonbat is someone who uses goofy easily disproved "logic" to dismiss the reasons Mars firster's prefer Mars next. Silly things like its cheaper to go to Mars through the Moon, we have to test on the moon (vs on Earth or in LEO), the Moon is a space resource bonanza (He3, SSP, Lunar H2O), or the moon is a lot safer cause it's closer.
The Moon has valuable sicence yet to be conducted. Most scientists don't think it is of more value than the potential on Mars, but it is a matter of personal preference. The Moon is a far better tourist destination if you think NASA's job is to promote space tourism. The Moon is also a great place for radio telescopes if that is your primary scientific interest.
