By your dumbass definition, Germany cannot possibly be a democracy since Nazis cannot legally run for office there, and people who would really like to vote for Nazis can't do so. I can't vote for Schwarzenegger for president, so I must not live in a democracy either.
In Iraq, there are dozens of parties and hundreds of candidates from all over the political map. The Baathists have been excluded. If you believe that Iraq can't have a decent government without the headchoppers, fine.
