Okay, very, very slowly:
The analogy was not about me wanting Arnold for President.
I would not vote for Arnold to be a candidate for President, although if he were the Republican candidate, I'd probably vote for him over whatever asshat the Democrats managed to scrape up.
I did not vote for Arnold to be governor, either.
The point is, it is illegal for Arnold to run for president in the United States.
Therefore, those who DO believe Arnold would make a good president--and there are quite a few--are not being given that choice in their election.
Your thesis is that not being able to vote for ANYBODY AT ALL in the Iraq election, including the Baathist thugs, means that it's not truly a free election.
This seems to indicate that the elections in America aren't really "free" either. For that matter, we didn't get to elect Reagan or Clinton a third time either. I will not bring up Germany again, a more accurate example, for fear of further confusing you.
Process this for a while. I would bet you'll come up with something claiming I called Arnold a Baathist.
Again, where do you people go to have the capacity for abstraction burned out of you?

- Bio on Saddam Hussein's heir (now deceased)
- And just how is this a current event?...............
- Jeffrey Dahmer wasn't going to end up ruling an oil-rich nation of 25 million people.
- Nah, Saddam's sons were going to calm down and become decent, peaceful rulers, just like their dad. Or Atilla the Hun. And rattlesnakes were going to learn how to tapdance. (n/t)
- So you are acknowledging it was really all about oil and oil money?
- He's dead, and you just admit the Iraqis aren't being trusted to elect whomever they want.
