Whatever the economics the first crash killing 500+ people will be devastating to its business (And yes, the public backlash may be unjustified but humans are humans)

The first crash of a concorde, despite its excellent safety record, was the final death blow for the SST... It was not economically well off before but that one crash killed it...

One crash killing 1/6th the number that died on 9/11 will be a serious blow to any company...
