Does it really matter what nation gets to journey to Mars or Jupiter?
Does it really matter what flag flies up there?
Or what anthem is played? Or what language is spoken?
Do you, Americans, consider yourselves Americans first, or Earthlings first?
If you consider yourselves Earthlings, first, then it really shouldn't trouble or vex you what nationality, or what corner of the globe, you come from if you plant your footprints on Mars or one of the Jovian moons.
Didn't someone call this planet "SpaceShip Earth" at one time? Do you believe it?
Then the passengers on this "spaceship" are not so much Americans, or Australians or Japanese or Brazilian, but Earthlings primarily.
We've got to regain our proper perspective! .... We've lost that perspective since 1972.
Remember! Those 1000's or tens of thousands who will eventually live on Mars will not consider themselves Americans or Russians or Europeans, or Earthlings, but martians.
Perspective - perspective - perspective.
