So if they are silent on the subject, then it is ok to invade and give it to them?
In the Arab media, democracy is often a perjoritive used roughly equivalent to globalization or Americanization. What it boils down to is "Don't trust those f'ing Americans when they start talking about democracy. It means they want your oil."
Now whether they are right or wrong to hold that opinion of us is (as my prior post pointed out) FOR THEM TO DECIDE.
