A more interesting point to explore would be.....
Should formerly convicted felons, that have served their time, paid their debt to society continue to be deprived of their civil rights?
On what basis should the rights of citizenship continue to be denied, and what agenda is being served by either denial or allowing voting rights?
It might be interesting to have an eighth grade civics test given in the population at large in any given area and contract that to the results you would get from an incarcerated prison population.
