How did you come up with that conclusion? My career terminates when Ames lays off all the contractors which looks like a very real possibility. The on-site contractors at Ames seem to fall into three categories:

1) The pessimists who believe we'll all be fired within three months.

2) The less pessimistic who think we'll be employed until August and then get the axe.

3) The wild optimists who think we'll still be employed until the end of FY-06.

My division has been identified as a "core competency" so there is a possbility that we'll survive to the end of FY-06. Count me as a "wild optimist". Have you heard anything that would contradict such optimism?
