LBJ rejected a way to win:
- mine the harbors of N. Vietnam
- Interdict all marine traffic in and out of N. Vietnam
- Cut all rail and road traffic from China
- Properly outfit the S. Vietnamese Army
- Bomb all military targets with no prior warning
LBJ did none of this.
He chose to do what the DNC today wants to do in Iraq: Negotiation with proven killers.
