Some people can't take a flu shot

I don't know about the Pope, but some people can't take a flu shot due to allergies (eggs) or for medical reasons. It's possible that he wasn't able to take one due to his poor health, but it's also possible that he got a shot that just wasn't effective.

I'm not a Catholic and don't pretend to speak for them, but as I understand it, the objection to things like condoms is secondary to the objection to sex outside of marriage, especially promiscuity. Far more than any supposed hazards of homosexual sex, it's promiscuity (heterosexual or homosexual) that's the biggest factor in spreading STDs including AIDS. His pronouncements on this topic have, to the best of my knowledge, been in line with Catholic doctrine. Isn't a pope supposed to uphold Catholic doctrine? In addition, this pope has opposed all forms of capital punishment.

As for your statement, "I am sure he doesnt support the death penalty for doctors that perform abortions like some senators we have just elected.", name the senators. You've just made a radical statement. Can you back it up, or are you just pulling it out of your ass?

I'm agnostic, but my youngest son married a Catholic and converted. Out of a US priesthood population of many thousand men, a handful turned out to be sexual predators who molested children. I wonder if the percentage of them is any higher than the population as a whole, but don't know one way or the other. I do know that if one of them happens to molest one of my grandchildren, he better hope that the police get to him before I do. Otherwise, his will be a body that'll never be found.
