But I will point out that I wasn't attacking the right or the left- just pointing out that a lunatic was elected... he was one of the more stupid and vocal about his views... there are others there that share that view, and you know it...

I wasnt 'grasping at straws', you asked for an example thinking you had me caught and I gave you one that was known to a good portion of people that read the news... Not my fault you were apparently cluless...
