Jobs back above pre-recession levels
The latest BLS report.
Kind of complicated, since some adjustments have been thrown in. Current payroll jobs: 132,573,000. Highest previous level of payroll jobs was in February 2001, at 132,546,000.*
The left can still cling lovingly to the "First president to post a net job loss during a term since Hoover." They squeaked by by a single month.
Unemployment is down to 5.2 percent.
Reuters had to drink an entire six-pack to piss on this news.
*Oddly, last month the highest level on the chart was in March of 2001. Apparently they keep adjusting the back numbers as they go along.
