'Tis indeed amazing. Do you know if Spirit will continue to head south? The image below is something I made a few days after Spirit landed, pointing out what I thought were the most interesting features in the Columbia Hills -- a "salt pan," -- which I think they were referring to as "home plate" before a rock in Meridiani stole the name -- a "shoreline," and what looks to be a very fresh impact crater. Right now, Spirit is just out of the frame, at the top of the image, so the "salt pan" should be relatively close by. I would LOVE to see what that thing is!!!
