Call me another carzy New Englander but I do not see Dean as a disaster. I hope that the D party can shed it's wacko, far left, anti-American culture of the last 3 decades and become more mainstream. This started to happen under Clinton but was aborted, a favorite verb for Ds. We really need a constructive alternative to the unfettered Rs. Bush has not moderated spending and serious debate on foreign policy, domestic agenda and the best methods for the War on Terror is needed. The strident Kennedy wing has drifted far to the left and needs to be counterbalanced or there will be no effective alternative to the Rs. The end result of that could be the re-emergence of the Republican religious right, know nothing crew. Not good.
