"We really need a constructive alternative to the unfettered Rs. Bush has not moderated spending and serious debate on foreign policy, domestic agenda and the best methods for the War on Terror is needed. The strident Kennedy wing has drifted far to the left and needs to be counterbalanced or there will be no effective alternative to the Rs. The end result of that could be the re-emergence of the Republican religious right, know nothing crew. Not good."

Unlike P, I'm still a Democrat. I will never be a Republican because the Republican Party panders to the religious right and know nothing paleo-conservatives. I have grave concerns for the United States if the Democratic party craters due to mismanagement by liberal extremists. We do not want the U.S. to become a "one party state" like the Soviet Union.
