Same reason why it's news when Micheal Jackson does anything.
Artists should know better. They should write in their wills to have the stuff burnt.
Since they didn't do this, we can assume that in some dark corner of their minds they thought it had some value.
Oh well. Maybe we should have more viking funerals.
