A nonfunctioning design

The linked design would not have worked. The designer did not understand the difference between fast and thermal neutrons. The designer also did not understand the importance of quickly assembling the uranium bomb pit into a critical mass. This design is probably an MSM fabrication made after World War II to sell some newspapers or at best it was created by a half-trained Ph.D. student working under Heisenberg. The Nazis did cook up some interesting nonfunctioning designs, e.g. the Saenger atmosphere skipper to bomb New York was probably the best example.
