We're seeing real democracy happening. Different political groups bartering to form a government. Feeling the heat of public pressure to compromise. The real stuff of democratic governing. All very good signs.

You have mentioned quite a bit about WMD's and that's what the war was about etc etc, but in all honesty there was talk BEFORE THE WAR about democratizing Iraq and the effects that might have on the MIddle East. I remember it, you do too I'm sure. Yes the war was primarily about WMD's but there's no question this post war democracy was part of the plan. Maybe Bush got lucky but at least that part of the plan seems to be working well so far.

I sense we are on the verge of another domino theory eastern europe style democratic revolution happening in the Middle East within the next 5 years.
