It's taken thru L8 - which is the solar filter. If you have a tiny tiny tiny ammount of noise ( say in terms of brightness values, 0-8 on a scale of 4096 ) and then stretch it so at least one pixel is white then you end up with a very very ugly niosye image like that.
Dont worry - there's nothing whatsoever wrong with Pancam on Spirit - this is normal routine calibration stuff.
