the real key here is value, which is to say "Exactly how bad is the impact hazard?"
You probably missed Shoemaker's revision in his estimates.
As far as Mazanek's plan goes, his instruments are nuts on; but I think his architecture is too expensive, and I think mine is cheaper... but then that's just ball park, and how it will come out will be determined by trained engineers as the Return to the Moon program evolves...
