Assumptions.

First, I believe they are both reprehensible, and the innocent on both sides suffer. That's First.

Second, the Israelis have an army, navy and air force they use against the Palestinian civilians, in targeted and untargeted ways. Much of it is American equipment or American financed. They have nuclear weapons.

The Israelis are committed to treating the Palestinians like dogs, literally. Before the Palestinians present conflict which started 2000, the Israelis were killing 24 Palestians for every Israeli who died at Palestinian hands. That's roughly the casualty ration of the Indians and Cavalry in the US.

I guess I feel sorry for underdogs suffering ethnic cleansing, civilians being driven off their ancestral land by an army, appealing to the world for decades, getting no help, and finally resorting to the only tactics left.

Here's one aspect of their wall. Financed, by the way, by America.

"At the end of the day, the Israeli government could not get away with the argument that it is obliged to, as Henry Seigman laconically noted: “steal more Palestinian land to protect Israelis living on previously stolen Palestinian land."

This barrier is only one egregious aspect of this systematic denial of Palestinian self-determination. In response to the Court’s decision, the Israeli Foreign Ministry is insisting that the barrier is no “wall”, but for the most part “a chain link fence.” Would that Moshe Dayan, Israel’s Defence Minister in 1967, be alive today to hear this. Soon after the IDF conquered the West Bank and Gaza, Dayan recommended that the Palestinians be told “you shall continue to live like dogs.”

And it's the innocents on both sides who suffer from the disgraceful behavior of not only the other side, but their own.
