business is not in the interest of anybody except corporate embezzlers. Business executives attempt to maximize their own personal incomes disregarding the stockholders, employees, vendors, customers, and the general public as well. Looting one's company is fast becoming the normal example of executive behavior.
This must stop. We just can not continue to prosper while out largest public corporations are looted by their managements. What to do? That is the question?
Doing nothing has not helped. ENRON is repeating itself all over the place as Worldcom and now AIG have been exposed as nests of stinking corruption.
We need a RATIONAL strategy to secure the investments of the public in such a manner as to prevent this kind of massive fraud in the future. Clearly, the SEC has been doing little.
We need a way to recover peculated assets no matter how carefully they have been hidden away in "offshore" banks.
Again: What to do? The floor is open for ideas.
The AIG scandal point out that totall unregulated "laissez-faire"
