Bingo

jms' first guess was Kennedy, but it's Johnson, all right... which does have a Shuttle of sorts in one of those buildings: a simulator, a wingless fuselage.

Pan southwest from that pic just a tiny bit to see the relatively new museum/vistor's center, Space Center Houston. My first two visits to JSC were before its time. You could park your car, walk to the "rocket garden", then into the complex itelf and follow the signs at your own liesure to all of the public places or take a guided tour -- all for free. It cost $12 to get into the museum-thing on my last trip, and you can't get to the rockets without paying.

BTW, just to the east (right) of the main stage of that Saturn V stands a "boilerplate" Mercury/Redstone. It makes one shake his head in wonder that Shepard and Grissom actually wanted to go up in one.
