Yes, Israel is the ultimate consequence of events stretching from the Roman destruction of Judea to the barring of Jews from participating in European nationalism as a sovereign nation. Yes Judaism is a spiritual faith, but one cannot dismiss Jewish ethnicity.

Now a global movement is afoot which may compel more Jews to develop a solidarity with Israelis:
