I'm not sure I believe you give a rats wazoo about input. I think you are pissed off at RL, and just like a lot of people here (Lindy, SDAI) don't care if the treatment of him is just or not, just as long as you get the joy of seeing him get what you think is coming to him. You and Lindy, so far, seem to be the only people who care that RL is still posting (I'm sure at some point Lee and SDAI may pop in...)... And If I recall you and he have a contentious history with RL.

The point is that you make it sound like the 'Zone' went through some sort of 'judicious' process and came to a consensus about what should be done to the feuding parties. Thats not the case. All I saw was Robert S making a judgment and not even strongly stating it.

As far as Robert S entering the frey and warning the people involved, I didn't see that- but hey, the source material no longer exists so we can make any claim in a vacuum.

But here is what I remember:

What I did see was Keith Cowing making blatant threats to another zone member.

what I saw Was this other Zone member was acting no worse than Ed Nelson, EP Grondine or Todd. Can't sanction it, but lets face the facts, it was no worse.

What I saw was a host of people including long-timers like Tom Brosz and Gary and N. Koren take exception to the threatening and outing behavior of Keith Cowing.

What I saw was Robert S merely deleting the threats and then sanctioning RL in a way he does not sanction others who behave exactly like him (see Ed).

I DID NOT SEE THE MOERATOR RISE TO THE ISSUE OF CYBER-STALKING. AT ALL.

Now if it is okay to threaten eachothers Jobs on this board, and threaten Cyber-Stalking, and out eachother... If this is not something the moderator is going to address... and if in addition to this the moderator is going to treat people inconsistently... Then I have to wonder about if I should participate here. So should you. Getting satisfaction with RL should be the least of your concerns.

So basically, he gave KC a slap-on-the-wrist for THREATENING OTHERS AND OUTING RL, something that was complained about by a bevy of zoners, and didn't even point out that behavior as being unacceptable.

Now, I don't give a penny if you like or hate RL. Frankly I am no big fan of his I-hate-pseudosciene posting style or some of his more anger-driven content. While I agree with the motivation, the content loses me. If he really has to slice-and-dice pseudoscience and the purveyors of it, there are other ways to do it than name-calling. Thats as close as anyones going to get to dragging me into this issue, and I've probably said more than I should.

BUT, what he does and how he does it, especially in the (now deleted) thread with KC, is of the same character as about 3-6 others on this board who have NOT been treated with the sanctions RL has.

So yeah, I have about had it with this. I think you should put down the pitchfork and think what just happened through. I take this as possibly the worst blights on this community to date.

But justifications are easy to come by, just ask the supporters if the Iraq war... I'm sure I'm about too hear some.
